Publishing your software in Sutro takes it from the preview environment and makes it live on the web. Sutro publishes software to sub-domains of www.withsutro.com, giving your software a public presence. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to publish your software, manage settings, and update your live version.

How to publish your software

  1. Review your application in the Preview section to ensure it’s ready to go live.

  2. Click the Publish button in the upper right corner of the page.

  3. A popover will appear that provides you with the link where your software is accessible and when your software was last published.

How to publish changes to your software

  1. Any time you make changes to your software on the Sutro platform, you must publish your changes to update the live version.

  2. Click the Publish button in the upper right corner of the page.

  3. A popover will appear. Click the Publish changes button.

Updating your software’s name and logo

  1. Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner of the page.

  2. A sidebar will open and there will be a section to edit your software’s name

  3. There will also be a section to upload, change, or delete your software’s logo.

  4. You must publish your changes for any edits to go into effect.

Managing your sub-domain

  1. To edit the www.withsutro.com sub-domain where your software is published, click the Settings icon in the upper right corner of the page.

  2. A sidebar will open and there will be a section to edit your sub-domain.

  3. You must publish your changes for your new sub-domain to go into effect.

Adding legal policies to your software

  1. Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner of the page.

  2. A sidebar will open and there will be a section to add, edit, or delete links to your Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy respectively.

  3. You must publish your changes for any edits to go into effect.

Accessing live data

  1. Once your software is live, any data generated or stored within the application will be available in the Data section of Sutro.

  2. You can view, manage, and export this data as needed. Refer to the Data items guide.
